Witch Hazel ~ Around 4 tablespoons in a grip seal package.

Witch hazel possesses both practical botanical healing and centuries-old folklore. Native Americans and early herbalists utilized it for divination, energetic boundary protection, and as a potent "wound healer." Today, it remains a beloved natural remedy for soothing skin and calming the mind.

Magical & Energetic Properties
Witch hazel's name actually derives from the Old English word wicce (meaning "to bend" or "pliant"), but it has long been associated with true witchcraft and the supernatural.
  • Divination & Dowsing: Its pliable twigs have traditionally been used as divining or dowsing rods to locate underground water sources and hidden treasures.
  • Energetic Boundaries: Energetically, it is used to "tighten" your personal auric field. It helps clear stagnant emotions, heal broken hearts, and repair boundaries after emotional flooding or psychic work
  • Protection: Hanging its bark or branches in the home is believed to ward off negative or malevolent energies

Medicinal & Skincare Magic
  • Witch hazel extract is made by steam-distilling the leaves, bark, and twigs of the Hamamelis virginiana shrub. Its active tannins act as a powerful, natural astringent.
    • Skin Soother: It naturally reduces skin inflammation, making it highly effective for treating razor burn, insect bites, and eczema.
    • Acne & Pores: Its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties help combat acne-causing bacteria and minimize the appearance of large pores.
    • Relief: It is frequently used in post-natal care and to ease the discomfort and itching associated with hemorrhoids.
    • Scalp Health: Rinsing with it can help balance oil production and reduce dandruff.
